This is a Poster Posse Project, for the summer release of Mad Max: Fury Road. One of the harder pieces I've ever thought of thrashing out, but the end result was well worth the time spent making it 'work'! After watching the trailer I really wanted to capture that kind of fury dystopian dread I felt watching films like 'Cyborg', 'Mad Max' and 'Terminator 2: Judgement Day' as a kid, where the villain was just petrifying.
The piece was comprised of early sketches to see if what I'd imagined could be translated to paper, then it was a slow process of layering and working up the composition until it was balanced correctly, with this kind of work knowing when the piece is finished is what I find the hardest, too much can be very hard to strip back from. Thanks for viewing!
